Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding for the Year 2010: India

The Indian Council for the Cultural Relations (ICCR) is the Secretariat for the Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding since this award was instituted in the year 1965. The Award shall be given for outstanding contribution to the promotion of international understanding, goodwill and friendship among peoples of the world.
The award caries an amount of Rs. one crore in cash (convertible in the desired foreign currency) and a Citation
People from public life, university professors, advocates, social workers, human rights activities, literacy figures and media persons.

Letters proposing nominations for the 2010 on a CONFIDENTIAL basis, along with bio-profile, may be sent to Secretary to Jury at the following address, latest by 24th October, 2011.
