NGO launches common entrance test : India

Chennai, Tamil Nadu:

A non-profit organisation called Era Foundation has launched a common entrance test this year in order to make entrance tests more transparent and the admission process to deemed universities easier.

Saveetha University is one of the first in Tamil Nadu to utilise this common entrance test – called UniGAUGE – for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate dental, and medical and engineering courses.

Mythili Bhaskaran, Vice Chancellor, Saveetha University, told the press on Saturday that the varsity decided to make the switch to improve the admission process. .
