Re-examination for Civil Police Constable posts : India

Karnataka :

Due to the alleged question paper leak of the examination for recruitment of civil police constables (men and women), a re-examination will be conducted. The written examination, which was held on November 16 this year, now stands cancelled.

Additional Director General of Police (Recruitment and Training) N.S. Megharikh said that the Police Department had received credible information from the Gulbarga University Police Station that answers to questions in the examination paper were known to some candidates before the examination was held.

After a thorough enquiry, 14 persons were booked by the Gulbarga University Police Station and arrested. An amount of Rs. 77.03 lakh was seized. Candidates involved in corrupt practices in the written examination will be disqualified, said Mr. Megharikh, on the sidelines of the CM medal investiture ceremony on Friday.

“To uphold the credibility of the government and the Police Department and to remove suspicions in the minds of candidates, the written examination was cancelled,” said an official release. The date for the re-examination will be communicated through the police website and the media.
