Association of Chartered Certified Accountants signs agreement with Christ College, Pune : India

Pune, Maharashtra :

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Christ College of Pune to offer its internationally recognized accountancy courses. The students will be able to avail this opportunity while pursuing their regular degree courses and finish both the courses at the same time, a statement issued by ACCA said.

With the signing of MoU, ACCA and Christ College will work in partnership to offer the ACCA qualification, which is equivalent to a United Kingdom master’s degree to finance and accountancy students. Through the certification, students will get an exposure to international qualification standards as ACCA exam is based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), added the statement.

Christ College is a Christian minority institution affiliated to the University of Pune. The College is recognized by the state government and is managed by Carmel Vidya Bhavan Trust of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate congregation.

Ilham Punjani, head, business relations, ACCA said in the statement, “ACCA has created a substantial network of partnerships across the globe, which is central to our ability to deliver qualifications and services while contributing in developing the accountancy profession. After achieving considerable success with our past alliances in Pune, we are proud to announce our third affiliation in the city with Christ College. We are confident that this certification will empower the college students to become globally competent in accountancy and related areas and build a successful career.”
