Maldives receives 20 scholarships from Bangladesh

A Bangladeshi university has presented the Maldivian government with 20 scholarships.

The scholarships provided by the South East University of Bangladesh are exempt of tuition fees and come with minimal accommodation and miscellaneous fees.

At a ceremony held today at the Education Ministry, Bangladeshi Ambassador to the Maldives Admiral Awwal presented the scholarships to Maldivian Minister of Education Shifa Mohamed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shifa said the scholarships were secured on her visit to the country through the ‘Better Bangladesh Foundation’.

The courses available under the scholarship are open courses and application will be opened after the ministry decides the fields to offer the scholarships.
