COASTAL NEWS : Career guidance and scholarship awareness programme held by TRF, toppers felicitated : India

The Talent Research Foundation held a free career guidance and scholarship awareness programme in association with CIGMA, Bangalore on Friday at the town hall in Mangalore.

A handbook titled -After SSLC/PUC, What next?- was also released on the occasion by the principal of Beary’s Institute of Technology, Dr SA Khan

Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO and Career Counsellor, Cigma India, Bangalore, who was the resource person on the occasion, briefed the students about the career opportunities after SSLC and clarified their doubts.

Another career consultant from CIGMA, Mr. Arham Faraaz, gave a presentation on ‘After PUC, What next ?’ after which TRF president Mr. Riyaz Ahmed gave a presentation explaining government and private scholarships available to minority students. The students asked several career related questions in the question and answer session.

Dr SA Khan in his address, said: -We have enough talent and intelligent students in our community, but we have failed to identify them. Unless we exhibit our talent and intelligence, we can’t achieve our goals and gain respect in the society.-

Civil contractor Mr. Taranath also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the TRF in identifying the talents and introducing them to the society.

On the occasion, SSLC topper miss Ayesha from Alvas’ Kannada Medium High School, Moodabidre and PUC top scorer Mohammed Noushad from Vivekananda College Puttur, were felicitated with cash prize and mementoes.

The function started with the recitation of verses from the holy Qur’an by Hasher Sheikh after while TRF advisor Rafeeq Master welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Abdul Hameed delivered the vote of thanks before the function concluded.

TRF chairman Mr. Abdul Rauf Puthige presided over the function. Suleman Sheikh Beluvai and others were present.
