SIDBI workshop organized in Ludhiana : India

Ludhiana :

With the aim of boosting the adoption of Energy Efficient Technologies by MSMEs in Ludhiana, Small Industries Development Bank of India in association with GIZ, Germany organized a match-making workshop on April 14th, 2014 in the CICU conference Hall at focal Point, Ludhiana.

The meet was presided over by UC Gaur, General Manager, SIDBI and Anja Shivhare, GIZ. A number of prominent Industrialist of Ludhiana, Energy Auditors, CAs discussed the various options available for cost reductions through Energy efficient Technologies. Javed Ahmad Siddiqui, DGM, SIDBI, Ludhiana welcomed the guests and explained the various options for sustainable finance available to MSME units from SIDBI.
Ashwani Kumar of Dalpat Forge (India), Ludhiana was honoured on the occasion as a Energy Efficiency champion by SIDBI-GIZ. SC Ralhan, President of Hand Tools Association advised the entrepreneurs present to adopt best practices in energy efficiency in order to improve their profitability.

GIZ coordinated an energy efficiency exercise wherein the groups of entrepreneurs vis Forging, Fastners, Cycle Parts, Agro-implements manufacturers and foundry units discussed their present energy usage status and scope of improvement with the energy auditors/CAs and presented their plan of action. The initiative of SIDBI-GIZ was highly appreciated by the industrialists.
