ABUJA:
The government of India has offered scholarships to Nigerians in biotechnology and skill acquisition.
Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mahesh Sachdev, disclosed this yesterday when he paid a visit to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Prof. Viola Onwuliri.
The Indian High Commissioner also informed the minister that India ranked among Nigeria’s largest economic partners, with $56 million investment into the nation’s economy.
Speaking on India’s offer of scholarship to Nigerians, Sachdev stated that his home country had offered eight fellowship scholarship in biotechnology and 130 slots in skill acquisition programmes annually to interested Nigerian scholars.
