Srinagar, Kashmir : 

A scholarship distribution function for free coaching and allied scheme was held at Zainabia Institute of Technology and Management (ZITM) at Karan Nagar.

 
Deputy Director Social Welfare Rifat Arif and Assistant Director Tabasum Kamili presided over the function.  Scholarships worth Rs 2.92 lakh was disbursed among the students of the Institute who belong to minority communities.

 
The candidates are undergoing one year diploma course in IT titled “O” Level of NIELIT. A batch of 50 candidates sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs , Government of India under  “Free Coaching and Allied Scheme” have completed the first semester of course and are ready to join the second semester wef 12 Barkat Ali said.

 
On the occasion Tabasum Kamili apprised the beneficiaries about the availability of various scholarship schemes and encouraged them to avail the benefit of such schemes and also create awareness in their localities.
