The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has extended the dates for applying to their distance education courses.

The six-month long courses are in English. A course on animal welfare is available both in print and online mode. Optimising cattle feeding based on locally available fodder resources is available on CD, recent trends in disease diagnosis and treatment of ruminants and management of infertility in bovines are both in print mode and supplemented with CDs.

The eligibility criteria for the animal welfare course is Class 10 or equivalent, while optimising cattle feed is open for anyone who can read, write and speak English. The other two courses are for B V Sc or B V Sc and AH graduates.

The application forms and prospectus are available at www.tanuvas.ac.in. The last date for submission of completed applications is November 30, 2012 by 5.45PM
