Shahbaz asks MPAs to Ensure Transparency in Projects: Pakistan

LAHORE

– Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said people of Pakistan have pinned great hopes with the Pakistan Muslim League-N and, under PML-N Chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Party will come up to their expectations and put the country on the road to progress and prosperity by steering it out of crisis and make it a great country.

“Our each step will move forward for strengthening the country, regaining its honour and dignity and for the welfare of the common man, we will not hesitate to render any sacrifice for the security of the country. We will provide basic amenities to the people at their doorstep in consultation with elected representatives and transparent utilisation of each penny of the public money will be ensured,” he said, adding the Punjab budget reflected people’s aspirations and its pivot was to eliminate poverty, ignorance and putting the province on the road to progress.
He was addressing to Members Provincial Assembly belonging to Gujranwala Division at CM’s Secretariat here on Saturday. Senior Advisor Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretaries of various departments and administrative and police officers of Gujranwala Division were also present on the occasion.
Shahbaz Sharif said service to the people was mission, and mega projects were being completed speedily throughout the province for provision of education, health, clean drinking water and other basic amenities to the people and bringing the deprived segments of the society into national main stream. He mentioned that the priorities of next annual development programme had also been fixed keeping in view the needs of the masses. He mentioned that  free loans provision of interest loans to the youth under self-employment scheme, yellow cab taxi scheme and provision of state land to the agriculture graduates in the budget were such steps as would help eliminate poverty and unemployment from the province. He said huge funds had been allocated for the public welfare projects in the budget. He also said the Daanish school system was the best project of providing modern educational facilities to the children of poorest parents. “The Aashiyana housing scheme and Daanish schools are such welfare projects of Punjab government, which will help eliminate economic disparity and will realise to the poor and common man that they have also equal right over resources,” he said, adding that only those people were criticising welfare projects for the poor who had nothing to do with their welfare. “Why are those objecting on the establishment of Daanish schools for the children of poorest parents silent over the educational institutions like Aitchison, grammar, LUMS and cadet colleges for children of rich people,” he questioned?
