Job Responsibilities ü  Implement financial policies and procedures

ü  Bring to the attention of the supervisor any relevant financial issues.

ü  Assist with the maintenance of an effective banking system including preparing monthly bank reconciliation.

ü  Ensures all supporting documentation and signatures are obtained before finalizing vouchers

ü  Maintains a filing system for vouchers

ü  Verify invoices and ascertain that the equipment, supplies or services they refer to were duly received or provided before proceeding with payment request.

ü  Establish and maintain cash controls

ü  Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger

ü  Monitor cash reserves and investments

ü  Prepare and reconcile bank statements

ü  Establish and maintain supplier accounts

ü  Processes supplier invoices

ü  Maintain the purchase order system

ü  Ensure data is entered into the system

ü  Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system

ü  Prepare income statements and prepare balance sheets

ü  Manage the filing, storage and security of documents

ü  Generate weekly report of financial issues

ü  To monitor expenditure and process invoices for payment. To raise and authorize payment to suppliers.

ü  To administer the Petty Cash account

ü  To process orders and receive and distribute supplies.

ü  To maintain records for audit and prepare for audit visits

ü  To attend finance meetings and document key information and decisions as required.

ü  To apply basic accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including the production of journals, routine costing and variance analysis.

ü  Collates and records cheques payments and/or cash as received.

ü  To provide induction training to new Finance trainees and demonstrate own activities.

ü  To create, develop and maintain accounting spreadsheets used in the Finance function.

ü  Frequent travelling to Regional Office in Layyah.

  1. Bachelor degree or with proven experience – Background in communication, education and/or social sciences
  2. At least 2 years experience in an NGO
  3. Good communication skills
  4. Ability to work in a multi- disciplinary and multicultural environment
Job Responsibilities
  • Research governmental, foundation and corporate grants & RFP
  • Establish and maintain relationships with donors
  • Write, submit and track grant applications
  • Generate compelling narratives for funding applications and reports
  • Develop project descriptions, evaluation plans
  • Gather budget materials for applications and ensure compliance with funding requirements
  • Oversee reporting requirements for grants and contracts.
  • Handle confidential financial records and grant materials with great discretion
  • Regularly report in writing about all grant search and application activities to Chairperson
  • Articles and report writing, and website write ups
  • Field visits to the project site.
  • Advocacy and information material, such as fact sheets, leaflets, brochures, annual reports, flyers, etc.
  • Draft and edit e-newsletter
  • Representation of GPP with the partners and relevant authorities in relation with the program coordinator.
  • Liaise with members and other stakeholders on campaign and advocacy related issues
  • Media Relations/ Campaigning
  • Draft/edit press releases and promotional adverts in consultation with GPP coordinator, staff and members
