The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports has invited applications from government schools for ‘Nammoora Shalege Nammoora Yuvajanaru’ programme for the year 2018-19.

₹ One lakh grant will be given under the programme to government schools whose students excelled in sports events at taluk, district, state and national levels. ₹ 10,000 of the amount will be given to the physical education teacher and the remaining ₹ 90,000 goes to the school development and maintenance committee of the selected schools. This amount needs to be spent on purchasing sports materials, assistant director of the department said in a release.
