PATNA:

The newly registered Private Schools & Children Welfare Association has decided to take up burning issues of national importance in the fields of education, social and culture at the national level.

Association president Shamael Ahmad said on Sunday that this organization would also work for the educational, social and cultural development of the poor, helpless, backward class sections, scheduled caste and scheduled tribe groups as well as minorities for raising their living standard.

Registered on May 2 with the state`s registration department, the organization would strive to provide free education to children from the deprived sections, apart from starting a scholarship for them, he said, adding that it would lay stress on giving vocational education and training, and also manage technical and non-technical institutions. Since the issues of children are high on the agenda, the association would work for the eradication of child and women labour, Ahmad said.
