TNPSC free coaching begins : India

Erode, Tamil Nadu:

The District Employment Office on Thursday saw 70 candidates attending the first free training programme it commenced for TNPSC Group I preliminary examination.

The Employment Office had, in the past, offered training for Group IV and Group II examinations. Coaching for Group I programme would be given through the self-study group with the help of professional trainers and trainee collectors, said Vasudevan, District Employment Officer.

Inaugurating the month-long training programme, District Collector S. Prabakar said systematic study and hard work would enable average students as well to emerge successful in civil services examinations, and that proven academic track record in SSLC, Plus Two and graduation was not a necessity.

There was no need for average students to have inferiority complex.

Mr. Prabakar told the candidates to go for a self-analysis of strength and weakness in IQ during the course of preparation and to spend more time on rectifying inadequacies.

A small variation in the performance would make all the difference between success and failure, he added.

The Collector suggested analysis of the trend of questioning in recent years, exposure to group discussion, working out old question papers for preparation with time-frame in mind, and being in a close-knit group with relentless focus on performance as ingredients for succeeding in the competitive examinations.
