National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property, Lucknow Recruitment 2015 : India

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh :

Applications are invited by the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), Lucknow under Ministry of Culture, Government of India for recruitment to 14 posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for carrying out research projects in the field of Conservation of Cultural Property and Library Trainee to work in the project of library automation purely on temporary basis tenable at Lucknow and Mysore.

The recruitment to the posts would be done through Interview. Interested candidates should send their applications so as to reach NRLC, Lucknow office within one month from the date of publication in the Employment News i.e. on or before October 19, 2015.

Vacancy details:

  1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 10 posts
  2. Library Trainee (Lib.Tr.): 04 posts

Total no of posts: 14 posts

Remuneration:

  • For Junior Research Fellow: Rs.25000 per month
  • For Library Trainee: Rs.15000 per month

Eligibility:

Educational qualification:

  • For Junior Research Fellow: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should have obtained Master’s Degree in Physical/ Chemical/ Earth/ Environmental/ Life Sciences or MA in Conservation or M.Arch. in Conservation or BE/ B.Tech. in Material Science Engineering & Metallurgy.
  • For Library Trainee: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should have obtained Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) and possess knowledge of DDC scheme, KOHA and Dspace software and Typing in English.

Age limit: Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts should not be more than 28 years of age.

Selection process: Selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts would be done through Interview.

How to apply: All eligible and interested candidates should send their application, in the prescribed format, along with attested copies of all required certificates/ documents and a recent colour passport size photograph by the post/ courier/ by hand to ‘The Director, NRLC, Sector-E/3, Aliganj, Lucknow – 226 024 (UP)’ so as to reach the concerned authority within one month from the date of publication in the Employment News i.e. on or before October 19, 2015.

About NRLS: Established in 1976, the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC)  under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is a scientific institution dedicated to the Conservation of Cultural Heritage. It carries out research in materials and methods of Conservation, disseminates knowledge in Conservation, imparts training in curative Conservation and develops, and Implements programs in the field of preventive Conservation.
