MoU seeks to tap youth potential, create jobs : India

Chennai, Tamil Nadu :

Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur and the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu inked a memorandum on Wednesday for collaborative efforts in training activities that unleash potential of youth, create jobs, commercialize new technologies and create wealth.

The MoU was signed by Latha Pillai, Director, RGNIYD and Sivakumar, CEO, ICT Academy, a release stated. It will provide a platform for youth and youth functionaries to build their capacities and catalyze joint initiatives to launch development programmes for their benefit. Various programmes would be taken up including career guidance seminar across 10 states and training of trainers on entrepreneurial skills. The other objectives are to reach out to about 12000 Students across India to enhance their employability/ self-employment opportunities as well as train 4,500 youth on employability skills across the country

Latha Pillai said “RGNIYD will strive to develop a globally recognized and acclaimed centre of academic excellence in the field of youth development, fully responsive to the national agenda for inclusive growth, and the needs and aspirations of young people to realize their potential.”

Mr. Sivakumar, CEO, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu said the initiative will build the potentials of youth all over India.
