Punjab approves five uplift schemes worth Rs 5464.257 million : Pakistan

The Punjab Government on Monday approved five development schemes of various sectors of the economy with an estimated cost of Rs 5464.257 million. These schemes were approved in the 7th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi.

Punjab Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes included:

(a) Punjab Work Place Literacy Project at the cost of Rs 598.107 million, (b) Punjab E-Gateway Project (E-Government Initiatives) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1428.311 million, (c) Construction of Road and Bridge between District Mianwali and Jand District Attock (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1741.291 million, (d) Construction of Bridge on River Ravi at Qutab Shahana in District Sahiwal at the cost of Rs 1676.669 million and (e) Surveying, Investigation and Feasibility Study and Detailed Design of Proposed Construction of a Bridge on River Chenab at Bhowana District Chiniot (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 19.879 million.
