NIMA organizes career orientation,motivation programme : India

Kargil :

A career orientation and motivational talk for all +2 and graduate youth of Kargil district was held today at Syed Mehdi Memorial hall.

Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Fida Hussain was the chief guest in the function. The programme was organized by North India Management Association to select 100 students from Kargil district under Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) of Ministry of Tribal Affairs & Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India to study at Institute of Technology & Future Management Trends (ITFT) College, Chandigarh. The selection process was also held on 29th of July at the same venue.

President NIMA, Major (Dr.) Gulshan Sharma gave a power point presentation on the courses offered by ITFT for Bachelors and Masters Degree and shared a very interactive session with the students. In the presentation, Sharma stressed upon the students to unlock their potential and work on skill development with major emphasis on communication calling it the need of hour. He motivated the students to work on their passion to turn it to their profession rather than going for a career by chance and not by choice.

Sharma further informed that their main objective of coming to Ladakh is to provide 100% academic scholarship to ST & SC students of Leh and Kargil with direct employment on completion of studies.

While interacting with the students Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Fida Hussain thanked NIMA for organizing career orientation program in Kargil. He also stressed on the students of Kargil to avail benefit from such scheme. Later, President NIMA presented an award of honour to Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Fida Hussain. On the occasion District Education and Planing Officer Kargil, Mohd Mussa, District Information Officer, Mohd Hussain, parents and students also present.
