The last date for submission of application forms for Government of India (GOI) Pre Matric Scholarship has been extended up to July 31. There will be no further extension.

A decision to this effect was taken by minority welfare minister Md Ahamedulla. As per the previous notification, the deadline was to end on Saturday. The application forms can be submitted online through website www.apsmfc.com.

In all, 3,25,159 GOI Pre Matric Scholarship have been allocated to the state for the year of 2012-13. The students from minority communities studying in class I to X are eligible for the scholarship. Keeping in view of the difficulties faced by minority families, it was decided to accept income declaration affidavit on `10 stamp paper duly signed by the student and parents. Notary for the same is not required. It is only applicable for those who got the scholarships in 2011-12. Fresh students need to submit their income certificates issued by tahsildar.
